Question 1

How does EduTrail help me navigate the Australian education system?

Accepted Answer

We build a custom roadmap for your child based on their age and state. Instead of reading hundreds of government pages, you get a simple timeline of exactly what to do and when to enroll.

Question 2

What are the key differences between state education systems?

Accepted Answer

Every state is different. For example, 'Kindergarten' means the first year of school in NSW/ACT, but it's a pre-school program in VIC/TAS/QLD. We automatically filter out the confusing parts so you only see info relevant to where you live.

Question 3

When should I start preparing for enrolment?

Accepted Answer

It's best to start 18 months before they start school. For private schools, many parents apply 2-3 years early. Don't worry—our timeline tool will send you reminders so you never miss a deadline.

Question 4

How do I choose between public, private, and Catholic schools?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your values and budget. Public schools are free and zoned by address. Private/Catholic schools charge fees and often have specific religious or educational philosophies. We help you compare fees, locations, and programs side-by-side.

Question 5

Does this cover moving between states?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Moving states is tricky because curriculums don't always align. We provide specific 'Transfer Guides' that explain grade equivalents (e.g., Year 1 in SA vs Transition in NT) so your child doesn't fall behind.

Question 6

Can I track multiple children?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You can add a profile for each child. Your dashboard will combine all their important dates—like a Year 7 orientation for one and a Year 12 exam for another—into one simple family calendar.

Question 7

Is EduTrail an official government website?

Accepted Answer

No. EduTrail is an independent private company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any Australian Government department or education authority. We source school, curriculum, and calendar data from publicly available state and territory government education department websites across all of Australia, but we are a separate, private service.
